Will you help Martha's House help victims of domestic violence become survivors?

Martha's House Executive Director, Jonathan Bean, has taken on a challenge, and he wants you to take one on as well.

His challenge: Survive, make it out alive, the Heartland Sprint Triathlon race on June 5th. A quarter-mile swim, a 12.4-mile bike, and a 3.1-mile run, back to back.

Your challenge: Help raise money for DV survivors by donating or setting up your own peer-to-peer fundraiser.

Surviving domestic violence is an endurance event. It takes courage, patience, strength, hard work, commitment, determination, and planning: it's frightening, it takes help, requires support, and it can be done. But the sad truth is, that some don't make it.

Running a triathlon is an endurance event. It requires commitment, courage, strength, preparation, and support as well, but let's face it, it pales in comparison to the journey victims take, still, we aren't sure if Jonathan will survive it. Will you support him? and by doing so, more importantly, help DV victims become survivors?

The race is on. It is our goal to raise $5,000 by June 5th to use in Martha's House emergency help programs. And let's hope Jonathan survives as well.
